SEA FISHING
Mackerel are now sporadic around the gower coastline due to the recent unsettled weather. Spots such as Mumbles Pier and Bluepool are still producing the odd shoal but nothing in great numbers as yet.
Bass are showing all along the Gower beaches and rock marks with Worms Head amongst the favourite among a few anglers.
Boats are finding the shoals of mackerel with the tope and bass following just behind. The White Oyster Ledgers off the mumbles is the hotspot at the moment with live sandeel or live mackerel.
Reports of anglers hooking into fish and nearly getting spooled, they are believed to be a population of Porbeagles in the channel.
The Golden Grey mullet are finally in along our coastline and feeding hard on the anglers maddies put in front of them. Oxwich by Crawly woods is producing the most amount of fish to a decent size, reports of fish to 3lbs have been heard.

COARSE FISHING
Singleton boating lake fishing very well for roach and skimmers after the boats have finished for the evening. Bread punch being the top bait. Half Round ponds producing small roach and rudd. Fendrod lake has plenty of small perch feeding with good roach on hemp. Ten pound bream coming to the feeder at 40 metres. Gelli Hir lakes fishing well for silver fish.
Sylen lake at Five Roads fishing very well for match carp and skimmers. Method feeder doing well. Canol lake fishing well for tench. White Springs good for match carp and good sized skimmer bream on pellet.
This is generally the last feeding frenzy before the autumn frosts kick in, so make the most of it!

  GAME
Local lakes producing on nymphs and small lures. All fisheries are reporting good catches. Good quality fish coming out of Shimano Felindre and Papermill  on small lures and fritz nymphs. Worm bait taking fish on the few waters that permit its use. Anglers catching stock trout on rivers using worm when permissible. Salmon and sea trout are now being caught in reasonable numbers. Swansea angler Dennis Foley caught two nice fish of 14.5 and 13.5lb on worm and prawn. Also Dave Harry caught a sewin of 14.5lb on the river Towi.
