Cold forging at its very best from Shimano. This process ensures a strong yet lightweight frame and spool. The frame is then machined and the result is a reel that is as impressive to behold as it is to hold. Rods have become increasingly lighter thanks to the use of new materials and technology. It is therefore important that reels follow suit and, at 150grms, the 7/8 version is one of the lightest metal reels on the market. Shimano is also know for the quality of its drags and the Biocraft XT benefits here too. The 5/6 size incorporate a single disc micro adjustable drag whilst the 7/8 features a double disc system. A quick change push button spool and easy handle conversion complete the specification.
